I first lived in Del Mar but grew up in Solana Beach just one stop light north of Del Mar, went to San Dieguito high school in Encinitas, "Go Mustangs", my first apt was in Leucadia, later my home ownership started in Carlsbad back in 1986 and finally I lived in Oceanside at the beach and had a sailboat in the harbor. All these towns are known as "North County" in San Diego. Sometimes "North County Coastal".
My point is, I know them all and since entering the real estate field in 1984 I have sold many homes, been on many real estate caravans, previewed thousands and thousands of homes but more importantly...have had a lot of fun that each city has to offer. Yes, even in close proximity to one another each is different has has a little something to offer!
All the towns feature surfing but Oceanside is different, it is south facing. The coast curves, Oceanside picks up those wonderful south swells we surfers love in the late summer and into fall! It's still warm but all those youngsters are back in school and we are left with those blowing offshore winds, south swells to ourselves.
Oceanside has some of the most affordable homes along the coast in San Diego! The amenities make it a place to call home! Call me and make it happen!
