  1. Surround Yourself With Doers & People Who Are More Successful Than You! Who we surround ourselves with is a great indicator of what direction we will take in life. If you surround yourself with people who are negative in life you will become it! If your surround yourself with people who are successful in life and driven or motivated, you will become that! Start thinking about your circle of influence and which direction your going. Remember you have the power to become what you believe you can be!
  2. Stop doing what doesn't work! You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. If your having to struggle to get clients to work with you, its probably not a good fit. If your marketing to the same circle of people and not generating business, you probably need a new circle of people to market to. In a nutshell ask yourself what tasks you perform daily and in marketing your business that generate income. Odds are if they dont, you should stop doing them. Remember that reinventing your business regularly can help generate more income. What are the top three revenue streams of your business? What are the 3 least successful activities in your business that don't generate income?

  3. Assume it takes longer and costs more! Whether its buying leads, going to coffee, driving to meet clients, it all adds up! Whether its establishing new relationships or working deals together, it takes longer than you think! Keep in mind you might not get it on the first second or third try, but keep doing it! No matter what keep going! The more you keep calling the more opportunities that will present themselves.

  4. Focus on Systems instead of Goals! Goals are nice, but unforunately most people do not hit their goals, and to further say, what is a realistic goal vs. a non realstic goal? Goals are dependent upon your actions and opportunities created. If "x" amount of opportunities are created, you will eventually complete your goals. However its the systems you use to create opportunities that lead you towards your goals. Focus on systems to streamline your efforts and make your time use effective and you will achieve your goals without focusing on them.

You're absolutely right - especially about the systems. Having solid plans in place and following them will result in the goals eventually. Everything takes time and dedication.
