I have a story about a couple who was renting.  They received a knock on the door and were told to vacate the premises, because the home had been foreclosed upon.  The lady who was at the door looked at the tenants as if it was their fault.  The couple told her that they had always paid their rent on time, and they had the receipts to prove it.  I guess I'm telling this story so that others won't make the same mistake and blame the tenants when a landlord's home is foreclosed upon.  There are always 2 sides to every story.

The tenants could go after the homeowners for renting a property in the mist of foreclosure.  I don't know what your state laws permit but something worth checking into.
