Music Under The Oaks

The Department of Music in the College of Charleston's School of the Arts will present Music Under the Oaks, a spring concert featuring the College of Charleston Orchestra conducted by Lorenzo Muti and a chamber ensemble coached by Enrique Graf, Natalia Khoma, and Lee-Chin Siow. The event will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2008 "under the oaks" at the Cistern Yard on campus. A jazz ensemble will perform at 3:15 p.m., and classical performances will begin at 4 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be for sale.

The casual, outdoor concert will be an enjoyable afternoon for all ages, showcasing the fine talent of the College's music students, presenting popular classics. The orchestra will perform Felix Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture, Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 5 and others.

You may bring blankets, and folding chairs will be provided. No outside coolers permitted. Rain location is Physicians Auditorium on campus. Hope to see you there.
