Speechless Sunday London’s Portobello Market

 I love going to London’s Portobello Market, it is one of my favorites. We actually have it down to a fine science. When we do not have time to leisurely stroll there we hit our 3 favorite shops/stands. Our first one not in any particular order is the Portobello Map Shop, the other 2 are stands, one sells Churchill figurines, we have a collection, and the last is a jewelry stand. I have acquired some unique pieces there not necessarily pricey just unique.  This year it was a whirlwind as we had a spy walk set up for 10:30. So, we had to move fast. Here are some pictures from this year’s trip to Portobello Market was a beautiful sunny day, we have been there when it is cold rainy and snowy! Cheers!

That's very interesting.  I was in London for 10 days, and was all over the city, but had never heard of the Portobello Market prior to this post.  I actually looked it up on a London map to see where it was in relationship to sites I had seen during my visit.  I was close several times, but never actually there.

Yolanda, I just love learning about the world from your travels.  Being the rustic soul from Indiana perhaps you can expand my horizons by explaining what a "spy walk" is?  Does that mean the CIA has been paying for all your trips??? ^_~

Oh how fun. I love these type of markets and outdoor shopping is so much better (IMHO).  I like the guy reading in the forefront of the photo, the inclusion adds so much character to the overall experience.

Yolanda, My husband anad I are planning on going to London in the summer. I will go to the jewelry stand you mentioned. We went there 30 years ago and I do not remember going to Portobellow market.
