Condi Rice in 08' that would be great!

After getting really enthusiastic yesterday for the first time since McCain got the nomination, I was so disappointed today to see reports that Condi is NOT after the VP job this year.  According to the AP today:

'Condoleezza Rice has plans to head West after her time as secretary of State—not plans to be vice president.'

Uhggg, could you imagine what she would bring to the ticket!? Unlike the continued "35 years of experience" that you know who claims to bring to the table, you would have a powerful, time tested, tough person who is actually talking to the heads of countries we are dealing with, who knows the real game being played by our enemies, and has stood her ground against all would be critics foreign and domestic.

I have been a big fan of hers for quite some time and would love to see her on the ticket.

I do not think she will think about a VP run...I still believe Republican chances for victory are small this year. War fatigue will fuel a Dem win. Condi will not change that.

Katy, you could be right. I am thinking more along the lines of someone who actually has experience. Plus her personal life story and her accomplishments are unmatched.

I would vote for a McCain/Rice ticket.

Patrick:

Condi is a bright lady.  Unfortunately, her avid support for quotas and affirmative action fail to meet my standards of someone I could vote for.

I t would make for an interesting race but I think McCain has to go with someone more conservative or maybe Romney to bring economic experience to the ticket.

Bill: I do see your point on that. It is funny that someone who accomplished so much would still rely on outdated concepts like AA.

Hugh: I would be happy with Romney ( I was pulling for him to win the nom. ) and I thought it would make lots of sense w/regard to our current economic climate, hopefully setting him up for being Pres. after McCain is done. I must admit I was also thinking about the general w/Condi on the ticket also. With 9 out of 10 Blacks voting for Obama, I thought the fact that she is black AND a woman would drain that vote for the Dems. Although I am sure she would be put through the ringer since she is a "sellout" or not "black enough" because she is conservative. Just ask Mr. Steele!

Condoleezza Rice, would be an awesome candidate or running mate.  It would also silence all of those folks out there that think we are picking on Hillary because of her gender or Obama because of the color of his skin.

The average conservative voter doesn't care what gender/race you are. What they really care about is how much of their hard earned money the government is confiscating from them.
