Back From A Mid-Winter Vacation (OC/NJ)

That really means that we left our barrier island in South Jersey (Ocean City, NJ) to travel to the Gulf side of Florida for a mid-winter vacation.  We stayed for a week in Marco Island ... and spent a bit more time seeing some Ocean City friends who winter in a variety of locations on the Gulf side.

The major drawback was returning to New Jersey where the temps reflected a 30+ change in temps upon our return

So what does a realtor in our very cold and low winter turnout of listing owners, buyers, or renters do during the rest of February and possibly part of March.  For one thing, we have had some practice during the time from Thanksgiving through the end of January as well ... that being the start of our slow winter season.

Well, the rental season only begins in mid-June ... but the rental contact by phone and email and on rare occasions in person has continued since the end of the last rental season back in mid-September.  So we were active in September through mid-November ... and it has started again with the new year, 2015.

It's also an important time to carefully check out the potential owners who may want to list their property during the very busy and important "spring buying period."  Finally, the ongoing list of potential buyers must be contacted and encouraged to consider checking things out again during this most active buying period starting in early March (or February if the weather gets better).

By the way, most of my sale listing and buyer activity is in the Northend and Gardens sections of Ocean City, NJ where I have a great deal of interest and expertise.  I have worked in that section for over 20 years, and I have owned property in that area since 1988.
