Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet or hail shall keep me from my scheduled open house!

One might think the dead of winter in the Northeast with a looming storm might not be the best time to hold an open house. I beg to differ! I held one Sunday and while it wasn't as busy as I would have liked, people still showed up. All of the other agents in the community canceled their scheduled open houses.... Perhaps they forgot we live in New England?! The only challenge I encountered was that parking was a little tricky due to the record falling amounts of snow which has been dumped on us over the past few weeks!

My feeling, if only one person shows up, so be it. After all, you can only have one buyer, right?

Perhaps that buyer didn't tour today, but a friend or family member might have previewed it for them. Of the handful of visitors, there was a couple previewing for their parents who will be moving back to the area in the very near future. Could this be the right place for them? Maybe!

A few of my clients who now live in the community stopped by and one of their friends from out of state wants to move to this community. They strongly believe that this house might be a perfect fit for them. We will schedule a personal tour for them as soon as they come to town.

The easy thing would have been to cancel the open house, but why? There wasn't a travel ban, the roads were clear, and there were potential buyers out touring open houses. Works for me. Oh, and if you missed the open house at 30 Long Ridge Road in Pinehills, call me 508-725-5858. I can give you a personal tour.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet or hail shall keep me from my scheduled open house!

Good afternoon Judy,

The drive out to my open was slow but uneventful and no visitors.

Email is caught up and phone calls and the drive home was a nightmare with count them nine in the ditch and one accident.

Make yourself a great day.

Oh my Raymond,

That trip sounded really dangerous, glad you made it back safely! Hopefully, your next open house will be more successful. This weather can't stick around forever, right?!!

Good for you Judy.

I once met an agent, who had an open house scheduled, and the snow was impassable.  She hired plows to clear the road to her open house, and made the local news as well as the NY Times.  I love your determination.  A
