Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our thirty-second week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
(Be sure and click on the links in blue.)
This week, we've moved onto "I" in the travels across America. The "I's" have it! (Week 3 of "I's....wow). We moved through Illinois, last week and now it's Indiana and next week, Iowa and then we'll be done with all of the "I" states (geez, there were FOUR of them!)
Who doesn't love a GREAT "sweets" STORE? When you're traveling, to treat yourself or buy some yummies to bring home to family/friends, well, this is QUITE THE SELECTION (six!!) in Lafayette, Indiana! And don't forget it's almost Valentine's Day! Thank you, The Romanski Group!
I'm so excited to share the AMAZING talent of this realtor/painter, Larry Johnston! He weaves great historical tales along with his incredible paintings, like this one from South Bend, Indiana. (Try to find the corvette in the picture--bet you can't!)
Bruce Walter teaches us about an unusual relic in Tippecanoe (and it's NOT Tyler, too!) A great war history lesson in Lafayette, Indiana. (By the way, did you know that Tippecanoe and Tyler too was an old campaign song from the 1840 US presidental campaign? Now, you learned something ELSE about Tippecanoe, TOO. You're welcome.)
Who knew there was a Santa Claus in Indiana? Well, I just had to check it out. Christmas Lake Village--now this is kind of a "sales" video and a bit longer than I would like, but I just couldn't resist going from Valentine's Day to Christmas in one blogpost! Kara Hinshaw did this in 2009.
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
