Chester's 25th Annual Winter Carnival, In Chester CT on Sunday February 15th is a must attend for those who are within driving distance of Chester, CT. Chester is beautiful little town in lower Middlesex, County with very easy access off of RT9 exit #6. Chester is the type of town where the residence are very much involved in what is going on, and hold unique and special events throughout the year.
Chester's 25th Annual Winter Carnival, In Chester CT, has something for every one, with events such as:
- Ice Carving - will start at 10:30 a.m. on Main Street. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite sculpture.
- Chili Cook Off - 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Chester Fire House, located on 6 High Street. This is a great opportunity to taste chili from local Fire Houses, restaurants, and chili chefs, and then after you have had your fill, vote for the chili of your choice.
- Tractor Parade - what would a country event be without tractors being involved. The Tractor Parade begins at 2:00 p.m. at North Quarter Park and parade down Main Street.
- The Spring Street String Band, Arrowhead, will play at the Leif Nilsson Spring Street Studio & Gallery (1 Spring St.) from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Come inside, be warmed by the woodstove, and enjoy the music!
