They say in life if you find just five true friends you are blessed beyond belief. Counting them on just one hand. Doesn't sound like much but that is how rare these special gems people are in your life. I used to wonder what set them apart, and thought availability, integrity, loyalty to you, things in common, good communication, stuff like that. But the older I get I think there may be A Key Characteristic For Your Inner Circle People.
And it comes from this quote, "Never underestimate the value of someone who gets you."
This is not a subtle point, whether a business insider or a true friend, into your core somehow, they KNOW you.
It is an acceptance of course but more importantly an UNDERSTANDING YOU, as best another can in this world, is the true thing that sets them apart. Look for this. They are your on five fingers people!!
