The family dog started shedding more the past couple days. So it was time to get our my new secret weapon.

Over the winter we bought a product called THE FURMINATOR from Petco. It was 30-40 bucks but I tell you it is the best dog groomer I have ever used. You'll be amazed at the amount of fur that comes up.

What sold it to me was when I was standing in line at Petco they had a tv with a dvd demonstrating the product. They had different dogs and cats and you watched them as massive amounts of fur came out. So I was sold.

If you are looking for something to use on your dog so there isn't hair all over you and the house I would give the FURMINATOR a try.

Carl, shedding that winter excess fur. Sounds like a great product.

Welcome to the Rain,

Carl - Don't even mention the word SHED!  I have a Shepherd/Husky and he doesn't shd - he MOLTS!  Big clumps of undercoat come out in the Spring - I could make 5 additional dogs with all the fur he loses!  Great to hear about the Furminator.

I have a Furminator that I bought on Ebay a few years ago---Saved quite a bit of $$ too.  They do work great.  I can only use it on one of my Cavaliers as the other one has a silky coat that doesn't need that intense a grooming.

Morning Carl,

Welcome to Rain and thank you for the product information. We have a cat at the office that leaves his coat everywhere. The staff will welcome the Furminator.

Just wondering about this product - I have 3 dogs - the long shaired one (English Setter) doesn't shed as much as the 2 short hairs (GSP and Eng.Pointer)  -  I have tufts of hair or fur or both floating through my house - After reading your comments I will buy a furminator - THANKS!
