NYC is currently experiencing a deep freeze! We are seeing wind chill factors well below zero and to think that there are people sleeping on the streets kills me. I've decide that I will buy a large number of glove and boot warmers to pass out to any homeless person I see on the streets today. It's weather like this that makes you really appreciate the fact that you have a roof over your head and a warm bed to sleep in.
I think of all the animals out there too of course...so sad, and I wish everyone, 2 legged or more, was safe and warm

Amen, Christopher. I used to live right next door to the Brick Presbyterian Church on upper Park Avenue and there were homeless sleeping on the steps all winter long. Always broke my heart. Your willingness to reach out and help is wonderful.
Nina Hollander I work with an organization called Midnight run, you may have heard of them. We deliver food and clothes to the homeless once a month in NYC. Church steps are many of the stops we make.
