Tomorrow, Saturday, February 14th, Valentines Day, we are seeking volunteers to help clean up one of our most precious ecological areas here in Albuquerque and New Mexico. The Paseo del Bosque Bike Trail, known to locals as "the Bosque," (pronounced Boss - key) is one of the premier bicycle trails in the southwestern United States. It is even better in early October during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The trail is 16 miles long and since it's right in the city of Albuquerque, it gets used quite heavily. The whole bosque is 200-mile long ecosystem along the middle Rio Grande in New Mexico that extends from Santa Fe to south past Socorro including the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.
A MiABQ Millennial Project Green Team event! The Bosque doesn't care if you're single on Valentine's Day. Show your love for the Bosque and help clean up and promote this local ecological asset! Supplies and snacks will be provided- just bring yourself, a smile, and two hours of your time! Use #iheartthebosque to share your photos with @MiABQProject.
I will be going out to support this great event and meet some great people that care about their community! If you are interested in joining us, RSVP on the Facebook page: Bosque Cleanup !! It's only 2 hours of your time and such a great cause!
