Kimmie's at it again.
Bel Air's own, Kimmie Meissner, won the Ladies competition at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado this past week.
While it's no surprise that the extraordinary Olympian* teenager won yet another ice skating championship, how she did it is remarkable indeed. You see, Kimmie was in sixth place before the final round. She had some
difficulty with completing her short program, falling along the way. Fortunately for her, and all her many fans here in Bel Air, Maryland and around the world, the final round was her best. It was the long program, her favorite, and Kimmie nailed it! Her virtually flawless performance this past Saturday helped her edge past Emily Hughes who came in second place.
Just two weeks ago, Kimmie took the gold in the U.S. Figure Skating Championship held in Spokane, Washington.
Be sure to catch Kimmie's latest gold medal winning performance (at the ISU in Colorado) on Sunday February 18th from 8-11:30 EST on ESPN.
You go, girl!
