Empowering Educational Experiences

What is an empowering educational experience? For most, learning is a process where they understand what you already know.  That is, the enter a program to learn (hopefully), but often they simply comprehend, or, understand what they already know.  To be empowered within an educational experience, one must extend beyond comprehension and into what we call our 3 "I'"s--immersion, intuition,  and implementation.  Put another way...

The 3 "I's" of our Empowering Educational Experiences

• Participants must not only be present in an a learning environment, but a participant.  They must be active and involved, not passive and disengaged (Immersion)
  

• Participants must use their experiences, natural talents, and "gut" to solve problems, pose questions, and take action (Intuition)
  

• Participants must start planning how to use the material starting in the session and immediatley following it. (Implementation)
