After recently hearing about the approval by the Round Rock City
Council
to acquire funding in the  amount of $18.9 Million for parkold settlers entrance
improvements I was really excited! The park gets so much use
by nearby residents that the fields are starting to show fatigue.
You can check out all of the information on the projected completion
of the improvements, as well as what all this project will include by
visiting the following web site Old Settlers Park.

In the spring time there are always patches of Blue Bonnets and
wild flowers
spread out across the park. As you can see from the
pictures I took last weekend, this is the prime season for families
to head out there with their kiddos and take family photos!

The park is popular for its array of sport courts offered including soccor,
baseball, softball, tennis courts, swimming, frisbee golf, and more!

This is also a city hot spot On July 4th. (I make it a priority to see
the phenomenal fireworks display they put on at Old Settlers Park.)

As a Round Rock resident I've been going to Old Settlers Park for
over 10+ years. It has one of the longest frisbee golf courses in the
country that I enjoy year round! Not to mention it's a great place for
dogs. If you can't tell by the pictures posted next to my blog I LOVE
taking my dog there!

I hope everyone gets a chance to head over to Old Settlers Park and
enjoy the BlueBonnets! If your a tourist this is a must see place!

Hey... the bluebonnets are out! I know I should be a little more macho about the subject but I love the Texas wildflowers.

CHRISTOPHER,  I love the flowers and the pooch.  We have a chocolate lab but she is knot hole friends with a dog like yours.  By the way my slide show on my sidebar is a real estate show.  I will get the post to you on how I did it; it was from a post but I will need to find it.

Hey Christopher,

I love your post! Bluebonnets are my favorite but I am a Texas girl! We are headed your way next weekend. I hope the flowers are still blooming for our trip. We are staying in Austin but going to LaGrange on Friday night to the Bugle Boy Club and 6th street on Saturday night. Good luck with the Old Settler's Park!

Becky, Enjoy your time down here. And yes, the bluebonnets still look great. You'll have a great time at bugle boy club on 6th. I've never been there but its never a dull moment on 6th st. I'm sure you already know that :)

Marchel: Whats your dogs name? Thanks too btw for the info!

Chuck: The great excuse about bluebonnets in your yard is that if you spread em everywhere you can tell your wife or neighbor you can't cut the grass because you would be mowing over the state flower!

Chris,

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. The Bugle Boy is in LaGrange and we will be there on Friday night. Then we will be wondering 6th Street on Saturday night. I don't know where we will be on 6th Street but I know we will have a ball. Thanks for responding.
