VISITING ALL 50 STATES

I admit I am a little crazy! But what women isn't just a little bit crazy? I have these 4 amazing kids and about 5 years ago their Dad decides to make a choice and leave our home! So in order to have a little fun, we decided to travel to all 50 states! We have 7 more to go and we will have accomplished our goal. We just returned from North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. We went to the Mall of America in MN visited a Cheese Factory in WI and saw a very colorful Buffalo in ND

I have to admit althought I am not a Green Bay fan I did like the bra! I went to take a picture of my children in WI in front of some buffalo and I pulled the car over got out and took a step onto the snow and sunk up past my knees! You can take this farmers daughter out of the desert but she won't survive the snow!

My Favorite states so far have been CT, NY, HI, OK, and SD. WHERE have you Been!?

Here is a photo of my adorable children being HAPPY of all things!

Shelli - this is fantastic!!  I guess we can't call you a 'cheese-head' now can we!!! Hahahaa...You are a nut!  I have been to several states, however my favorite is Vermont and the New England states for visits. Great post!

Have you visited Idaho yet?  If not, look me up when you come!  We have TONS of fun things to do in Winter, Summer, Spring, or Fall.  And we actually have 4 separte seasons!  White water rafting on the Payette or Snake Rivers is one of my favorites!

I think it's great that you are out having fun instead of staying at home hating men!  You go girl!!!!

Shelli, That is quite an accomplishment in such a short amount of time!  I would love to travel more.  Of course, even though I grew up in the snow, I don't want to be in it now!  My travels would have to be in the summer!

Shelli, have you visited Maine yet?  Just like Candace, I also love New England, but Maine is my favorite.  Be sure to go whale watching, and some time in Acadia National Park is a must!

WOW!  That's almost 10 States a year.  We haven't been to too many states but are planning a trip to Maine for the end of the summer.

Shelli, I liked the Central Coast of California as well as the San Diego area, New Mexico is really kind of fun.  I have been to all of the intermountain states, as well as Texas it was a cool place to visit, loved the Alamo.  Thats about it unless you count airports!

Shelli, Wow, we women think alike. Although it was me that dumped his behind and my two kids and I have traveled so many different places. I am originally from Seattle, currently living in Ohio (don't ask, mistake #2) but we have been to near all 50 plus. Canada, Mexico,England and Ireland. My favorite MAUI!!!! I love the laid back atmosphere and hope to move there within the next 6-8 years. We are going to spend Xmas there this year. Setting things up now and can't wait. Keep on travelin' girl. I think its great.

Traveling all the states is amazing, but having teenagers smiling- IMPRESSIVE!!  Please share your secrets, if I had to take my 13 year old across country I think I would have left him behind somewhere!!

Morning Shelli,

Glad you and your children were able to remain positive and continue enjoying one another. Visiting the 50 States is ambitious, congratulations on your accomplishments so far. I assume you have been to Florida already.

Have a great day, I know you will!

Shelli...Oh, are you going to love it here-------------------and we are going to love you!  Another woman with a sense of humor like yours is just what we all need.  (We love you men with humor also!!!)

There's something beautiful in each and every state.  I've been to all 50 and I would be hard pressed to tell you my favorite.  Perhaps it is Virginia where I've lived for a number of years.  Glad you like Connecticut.  That's where I grew up and I'm here right now with my daughter and two granddaughters visiting my mom who will be 91 tomorrow.

Your kids are delightful.  I'm happy for the five of you.

Cheers,

Kathleen

Shelli - Welcome to ActiveRain!  Any friend of Candi's is a friend of mine.  This would be a great post to include in my group, Family Ties.  I hope you're having a terrific week.  I'm sure you will grow to love this community as much as the rest of us.

Jason - I will show Shelli how to post her posts in different groups she joins. We are meeting in the morning for our new group AZ RE Blogging Network at Paradise to get more organized. I have to show her around now, but she has done a wonderful job on her own! As you can see she is a perfect fit for AR!!
