Do you find the NEW format of AR "Professionally Embarrassing ?"

The New not improved,...format of Active Rain...is a hodge podge.....mindless questions meet the eye when you arrive at the site...Features of signficance are buried...not sure where.....meaningful, educational......like a mouse going thru a maze to try get to the cheese.....difficult at best. mouse and cheese in a maze

Who IS Active Rain ? Is it a community of real estate related professionals who provide constructive content for both the industry and consumers ? It is not a democracy....we get that....but has it become INACTIVE for the professionals who are the building blocks that make it a meaningful site ?

We have no illusion that this blog will appear as front page news mixed in with localism, questions and answers...market reports ....and the mix that now appears when you enter the site. echo

We have non answers from the Rain Gods/Goddesses....maybe it is just one voice with no meaningful echo throughout cyberspace.

wrong feet It feels like the once comfortable slippers, sandals, shoes we put on every morning are now on the wrong

feet...the "feel good" is gone....are we all just going to be victims...Will the meaningful blogs AND Bloggers disappear ? Is anyone listening ? Does anyone care ?

Yes, I don't like it either. However, I'm so glad that yesterday they allowed us to customize it, so you can make it features only. I just wish they would make this the default as I still think the home page is an embarrassment and does little to attract/retain new users.

The ability to sort things out a little has helped ... but I've definitely noticed a good drop in the number of reads my posts are getting here. And the comments too. Numbers have been dropping for a while ... but even worse lately, Sally K. & David L. Hanson. I just have no real clue as to what the direction and thought process is on AR anymore. Hopefully it becomes clearer soon ...

I hope the new filter ability can help clear up some of this frustration. If you choose Filtered Blogs - Featured Only it will look like it always has before the new change. Your changes will stick so each time you come back to the 'Rain the featured posts you want to see are there.

As far as the inability of finding important links, can you be more specific? Our top Nav bar has drop-downs with lots of good links, if we're missing something, please let me know and I can always make that request.

There has been much change and I feel your frustration. This week was a hard one, I saw 280 of my peers laid off and my role has changed. I'm happy to be back in the 'Rain 100% of the time and will do my best to champion your wants and needs as much as possible.

Sally and David, the site has changed and even though I am sure Kerrie and some others will try to maintain the integrity of the site it will not be an easy battle for them. I know that Kerrie cares, but I am not so sure those above her have the same values. I have not figured out what direction they want to take the site yet and which they would just come out an tell us, so that we can determine if this is where we want to be or not. It will fill the need and purpose of some, and it will not for others. Some of the changes just do not make any sense to me.
