Getting Over the Flu and Selling a Damaged Home

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Although still a little sluggish this morning, a day of rest in bed did me a world of good, and I think my experience with the flu is just about over. I can't believe I got sick. I never get sick. I stay away from germy little kids, I wash my hands after meeting people, and I try to keep my fingers out of my nose when in public. Yet, it can happen to anybody.

I was as bad as the damn cats, vomiting all over the floor. Except they don't have to clean it up, and I'm on my knees with a rubber dust pan and paper towels. So while my brain is recovering and my body is moving back to normal, I thought it would be a good idea today to talk about another recent closing. It is an entertaining tale of a home in Elk Grove that needed so much work that buyers thought the bank would gladly give it away for free. Where do they get these ideas? Probably from those get-rich-quick seminar guys who make a lot of money by giving seminars on how to get rich quick in real estate.

You can read more in my personal blog today about the Story of Selling a Damaged House in Elk Grove.

Ouch, nothing great about being sick. With 2-4 days incubation period, it is unlikely you can figure out where you caught it.

Anyway, get better and do not exhaust yourself.

Celeste "SALLY" Cheeseman Yeah, Sally, I think I've got the stomach kind of flu and not the intestional thing. My husband kept saying, drink lots of water so you'll have something to throw up, and I wanted him out of bedroom NOW.

Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL Oh, great, thanks, Jon, now you've got me looking at my calendar and trying to figure out where I was when I picked up this bug. Four days ago, huh? It happened on Wednesday so that would put it sometime over the weekend or even Monday. Maybe it was seller from Modesto or the tenants from the depths of . . .
