Greek Debt Extended; Stocks Soar!

Stocks started the day off poorly today.  With no economic reports due to come out, traders spent the morning brooding about the dismal situation in Europe regarding the Greek debt negations.  As someone had put it, even though Greece's debt needs massive surgery even the application of a band-aid would placate markets for the short term.  Well there was an announcement and then a press conference and the band-aid arrived.  Greece received a 4 month extension.  From that moment stocks sprang from their doldrums and the Dow wound up 154 points higher on the day.

Although I'm glad the Band-Aid arrived, nothing makes much sense in the world of economics these days.

I think that the question still floating around is wheather or not Greece will exit the EU and if so when.

Greek has some big time challenges in front of the country regarding their debt.

Good luck and success.
