A Nice Bright Highlight to a Bone Chilling Day
Buyers and sellers in Bristow-Gainesville, VA don't care how cold it is, or that there is snow predicted for tomorrow, along with ice. Buyers want to get out and see properties. Sellers want to sign listing paperwork and get on the market.
So after acquiring a new listing, I was off to my Braemar Short Sale listing to shovel the drive. Since it's back on the market, that needed to be handled. Would be nice if the contract cancellation with our previous buyer had waited a couple weeks so that task could be avoided, but no. There I was freezing my patootie off and pushing the powdery, light snow from the driveway to the lawn. I probably could've done the job with a broom.
While shoveling, I got a really good look at my car. It's a white Hyundai Sonota that looked the color or sooty snow. Off to the carwash, where they were only offering exterior washes today. Gotta look sharp for my buyers this weekend, even though it is more of the same coming our way.
My bright spot came about when I got a text from a Seller who is planning to relocate to Florida. I had offered to find an agent and there was a text telling me where she was looking. As soon as I read Clermont, FL I knew I'd be calling Beth Atalay. Active Rain is a truly amazing networking site. I know I've benefited from numerous referrals over the years, but it's always so much fun to pick up the phone and place one with a fellow Rainer.
Talking to Beth was a treat. We've commented on each other's posts for years, but speaking today was a first for us. She laughed when she called back. She saw the Virginia number and thought she didn't know anyone in Virginia. WHAT? Of course she does. ME! She just wasn't expecting the call.
It is so nice to know my clients will be in great hands when they make it down to house hunt with Beth.
