It is tax time again.  As I went over the numbers from last year it prompted me to look at my goals as well.  Though I came close to meeting most of them and exceeded in some areas, this years goals are sadly not on target.  The market changed but my way of doing business hasn't.  I am making a commitment to read 'Who Moved My Cheese' once again.  If you haven't read it you can probably find a copy at your local resale book store.

If any of my AR friends have another good, short read suggestions let me know.  I have the attention span of a small nat so keep that in mind with your suggestions!

 Happy selling and goal setting!

Keep the market changed and many did not meet their goals for last year - but this is one more reason to PUSH for meeting the goals of this years.  We've had time to adjust to the change in the market now lets work at helping to change the market and the publics perception of it.

Hello my friend...uh yeah, so I think I have your copy of Who Moved my Cheese? If you can't find it, let me know!

As far as a suggestion of additional reading is concerned, I have to say that you have found it right here at AR.  There is so much wisdom and experience that is so generously offered that I cannot imagine the need for anything that sits on a bookshelf.  I have learned more here in the last 6 months than I ever could have in a lifetime.  I hope you embrace what AR has to offer in the form of getting to know people, drawing from the experiences of past down markets, networking and picking up on some excellent ideas for acheiving your goals.

Look at you go girl! I read "Who Moved my Cheese" on an airplane on my way back from a Howard Brinton conference several years ago. Everyone should read this one. In fact, I agree it's time to read it again. Thanks for the reminder!

Keep doing like you are doing. Use what is free. Mostly use what is above your shoulders in your body.

I personally have cut back. I have elimated all print advertising. I have taken over all web responsiblity and marketing. I was paying to have it done.

I have taken over web promotion.

I had a massive billboard for years. They trippled the rent on it. I loved the name recog and all but I had to let it go. My favorite thing was to have a buyer call me from my billboard and say can you meet me here and show me houses.

I stopped buying fancy business cards and spend 250- on pens. People keep them, use them and call me from them. I do have brokers logo on cards but not my photo anymore.

I blog, i craiglist, i do citydata and all those other things. I netword and even share a website to keep expenses down.

But I know when things turn around I will get my billboard back.
