Are you sick of the snow and want to plan fun things to do in Broomfield Colorado this summer? Whether it is an outdoor water park or an outdoor concert, it is "happening" in Broomfield.
The biggest snowstorm of the year has come and gone this weekend. However, we are bracing for yet another storm later this week. I do love the snow but I can’t stop thinking about all that there is to do in the summertime where I live. I love Broomfield Colorado! First of all, there is The Bay. This outdoor water park has water slides, grassy areas and tables to picnic, cabana rentals for birthday parties, a concession stand and a separate area for small children with a zero entry pool. The Bay is inexpensive and a convenient place for my family to pop into on a hot summer day. Next, there are free outdoor concerts at a variety of locations. The days and locations of the outdoor concerts in 2014 were The Broomfield Amphitheater (in Community Park) on Wednesdays, The Village at Flatiron Crossing on Fridays and The Orchard Town Center on Saturdays. Stay tuned for the 2015 Summer Concert Series Schedule! If all of the sunshine and fresh air is getting to you then you can always escape to the indoors. The Mamie Doud Library has summer reading programs for children and adults. Each may earn a prize if they reach their reading goals! Also, don’t miss the awesome Paul Derda Recreation Center. The indoor water park and the game room are just a couple examples of all that there is to do here. Last but certainly not least, Broomfield's open space offers many hiking, walking and biking trails.
