Mountain Crossings invites you to join in kicking off the 2015 thru hiker season with a family fun celebration! They will have live music, gear demonstrations, good food, face painting, arts and crafts, and so much more. Special guest Richard Judy, author of Thru An Applachian Trail Love Story, will also be joining in for a book signing. In addition to all of the exciting activities listed above, they will be having a gear raffle! 100% of the proceeds go to a project illustrating the history of the A.T. (Appalachian Trail) and C.C.C (Civilian Conservation Core) in Union County. The project will include traveling and permanent displays of photos, records, recollections,and history pertaining to the Appalachian Trail and Civilian Conservation Core.
