Open House at the Buffalo Minnesota Food Shelf – March 1st from 1-3 pm

What a great opportunity to learn how and why the Food Shelf and Food Banks in general operate.  I wonder if my local one has open houses!

I have no idea how they manage to get all that food in needy individuals and families hands.  I might want to check that out....and schedule my open so that I can.  Thanks, Ron.

Ron, that is quite an accomplishment to distribute a half million pounds of food to your community!  I hope this is well attended as it is worth it!

Ron that is such an important cause that people need to learn more about. It's a tough world out there and you or I could be a step away from being in the position of needing help. 

This is a wonderful event for your community. I hope the food bank collects a lot of donations. I'm glad they include personal hygiene items, too. If you can't afford to buy food, chances are good you can't afford toilet paper, too.

All of us need to support our local food banks and food kitchens. There are always families who need help.

Hi Ron -- through you and Suzanne McLaughlin I have learned a lot about he Buffalo Minnesota Food Shelf over the years.  It would be nice to know some additional behind-the-scenes information of this wonderful organization.   

Ron, This is certaintly a huge program with 500 K pounds of food collected in 2014. These food programs are so important as we still have way too many hungry people in this country. hopefully the open House will draw a big crowd plus donations of cash and food.

Good idea to open the doors to the public so they can see the good work being done there. I will guess that more donations and volunteers will come forward because of this.

The Open House was terriic, and I spent nearly 45 minutes there getting all kinds of information.  Very nicely done!
