During the Winter months, this park becomes a Winter Wonderland. They have a groomed trail for cross country skiing that is 1/2 mile in length. The ice rink in the park has a convenient warming house. Residents are welcome to sled during the Winter months.

During warmer months, they have places to play horseshoes and paths for biking and hiking. They have restrooms, electricity and grills.

North Elmwood features an enclosed shelter with clean restrooms, two charcoal grills, and fourteen tables within the shelter. There are a couple more tables outside the shelter for those who want to enjoy the open air. This enclosed shelter has a capacity of 150 people.

North Elmwood has two open shelters. Both shelters have four tables inside. Shelter one is wired for electricity. Both shelters have a capacity of 40 people.
