As we continue through our update/redecorate decor....Yes I will get those pictures of the kitchen done soon...maybe even get a video.....We get distracted by doing other rooms in the house and making use of faux painting techniques. While our painter was intially not excited...lots more work...he is as pleased as we are with the finished product.
In our foyer...we used Ralph Lauren suede...mmmmm...the texture and subtle variations in color are just the thing to bring the walls a little interest and life and get away from all one shade on tall walls. If you missed that blog click here. We choose desert broom....and love it.
On to the dining room...yes yes...pictures next week when we have humpty dumpty-ed back the doors on the china cabinets and contents therein as well as the buffet. The walls were jewel tones...a royal blue above the chair rail and yes...wallpaper...paisley tones below the chair rail. The ceiling is a double tray with our new bronze tone chandelier.
Off with the wallpaper...out with the royal carpeting and we had the walls done in shades of blue gray with a color wash faux technique.....less subtle...a little bold....interesting we think....this is not it....it is an example of the look which can range from a sort of marbling to a bolder look ...we think ours looks like peaceful billowing clouds...
