Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our thirty-fourth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
(Be sure and click on the links in blue.)
Marching across America alphabetically, today we enter the state of Kansas. I don't know much about Kansas, so let's see what I can find for your travels! I'm having a heckuva time finding anybody that's writing about the cities and towns in Kansas with points of interest, but Stacey Johnson-Cosby came through for me! She has an excellent localism post about serving the homeless Vets in Kansas City! Three generations of women in her family served!! (And worth two pictures!)
Kansas City seemed to be my place for finding localism posts. Brookside Art Fair showcases nearly 200 artists! Thank you, Maria Morton for this lovely and colorful localism post.
I DID find a post from our resident "DC correspondent", Patricia Kennedy--who grew up in Kansas. Read on (then the next one will make sense). I kept seeing posts of hers in Kansas, and now I've connected the dots.
After reading Pat's post, this little funny was worth sharing, simply because of this agent's take on it! Don't Google It, Topeka It! Thanks, Jonathan Bell for the chuckle.
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
