Rocky got me through the brain scan

Last week while working on the computer it looked like my screen cracked in several places and then I could only see the left side of the screen... Yikes that was freaky...

Within 5 or less minutes my vision returned but I called my son the doctor just to see what he thought...

God help me... He freaked out...

So off I went to the cardiologist for several tests which were are great and then off to the eye doctor... He said all was good... However he wanted a Brain Scan...

I had no idea what that was but I was soon to learn...

It's an MRI or MRA of the brain... which meant that my head got put into a very pretty white box and then got put into the MRI machine with the rest of my body... Where I was told to not move and keep my eyes shut... I was not happy!!! In fact I was freaking out!!!!

The sweet people taking care of me asked me if I would like any music????? Sure I said... do you have the Rocky theme song... believe or not they did and they gave me head phones and played Rocky for me the whole time I was in that amazing machine... which was about 15 minutes... I tell you as I listened to Rocky... all the fear left my body and I just allowed the music to take me to a happy place....

If not you might want to know that my brain is GREAT.... no problems... my son is thrilled and so am I...

What happened... Who the heck knows... They gave it a weird name like a migranial something or other and the doctor said it could happen again but no worries...

I am truly grateful that all is well and I am also very grateful to the wonderful folks that took care of me... they made a miserable experience so easy to endure and as always Rocky... ROCKS!!!!

PS... I always thank God for my eyes that can see... and now I know why... how very blessed I am...

Well, if it were I, I'd just pass it off as another *&%^&* sign of old age creeping, creeping up and accellerating.

For someone younger, my first thought was a mini-stroke.

Beth, Glad you're FINE now!! That has to be a bit scary. And yeah, MRIs are no fun with that KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK sound (been through a couple for knee problems over the years). Know what I learned? DO NOT leave your wallet in your back pocket because the magnetic strip on every credit card and gift card in your wallet gets erased!! OOPS. Bill

Glad to hear you are okay. I would have agreed with Lenn....some kind of mini-stroke, but apparently, it was just a fluke, and let's hope it doesn't happen again.
