The weather report for Louisville says that we can expect rain for the next several days.  I am trying to get my latest investment project completed and really want to list it before this weekend.  So, I stopped by to talk to the contractor about getting the outdoor projects completed today.

I told him that it was imperative to get the hedges trimmed. While he agreed, I could tell from the hesitation in his voice that I was going to have to give up my plans for the day and hang around to make sure everything was done properly.  Once he saw that I wasn't leaving, he started the landscaping.

Trim the Hedges

Unfortunately, the Law of Unintended Consequences kicked in.  Because the ladders were being used outside, we didn't have one for the painter.  After listening to him whine for a few minutes, I showed him how to overcome hardships and think outside the box.

No Ladder, No Problem

The air-conditioning guys complained as well.  I told them that teamwork was the key to their success.

Teamwork is the Solution

It is a good thing that I stayed around!  The workers were just going to leave hedge clippings on the ground.  I assured them that this was unacceptable.  It is so hard to find good help!! Does everyone else have this much trouble working with contractors?

Get rid of it!

By the way, if you are doing landscaping, don't you think it is a good idea to have more than 1 truck!  Just because you are hauling brush, doesn't mean that I should have to deal with your mower.  Take that darn thing with you when you go!  I should get into contracting. I could be King in no time.

I don't want your mower

The really frustrating part is that I am paying a contractor and I still have to stand around here all day and tell people what to do.  And, if you think buyers and sellers can complain, try dealing with a bunch of whiny contractors for a day.  I'm bringing cheese tomorrow.  Oh well, if you want the job done right....  Now, where the hell did the electrician go?

Does this meet code?
