We have been blessed to travel to some pretty fabulous destinations in our lifetime and to this day, Paris, France remains very high on our list of favorites. Unlike any other city we have traveled to, Paris has a certain energy and vibe all of its own, that draws you in.
Paris is the home of the most-visited art museums in the world, the Louvre, as well as the Musee d O’rsay, noted for its collection of French Impressionist art, and the Musée National d'Art Moderne, a museum of modern and contemporary art. The notable architectural landmarks of Paris include the Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte-Chapelle, the Eiffel Tower and the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur.
Paris is known for its fashion designers and the twice-yearly Paris Fashion Week, and for its haute cuisine, and three-star restaurants.
The city is a major rail, highway, and air-transport hub, served by the two international airports Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly. Opened in 1900, the city's subway system, the Paris Métro, serves 9 million passengers daily.
No trip to Paris would be complete without a tour of Opéra Garnier, a leisurely stroll along the Champs-Élysées, a boat tour along the Seine River, followed perhaps by a show at the world famous Moulin Rouge.
For the best views of the Eiffel Tower, be sure to visit Café Trocadero, particularly at night, where you will be treated to an amazing display of lights, as the Eiffel Tower lights up. Enjoy some Escargot, or a nice French Onion soup, accompanied perhaps by a nice French Bordeux. If time permits, visit the “Wall of Love” in Montmartre, where you will find the words I love you, written in hundreds of languages.
Remember to visit the Latin Quarter as well and enjoy some delicious French pastries at one of the many outdoor cafes and take in the beauty of the floral markets. For a lasting memory of your visit, be sure to add your very own “Love Padlock” to the Pont de Arts, a tradition for those in love.
Kindly contact us if you’d like to learn more about Paris, however, if a trip to Paris isn’t in your immediate plans, perhaps we can interest you in a visit to Paradise, AKA: Naples, Florida, where you can enjoy the sugary, sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and once here, buy your very own place in the sun.
