With spring break creeping up on us, I have been looking for some fun, outdoor family activities to keep everyone busy. I stumbled upon this Boise Weekly article from 2005 about taking a day trip to Jump Creek. Only about an hour drive from the Boise area, Jump Creek is said to be a great adventure for all ages. This relatively flat, quarter mile trail is said to offer beautiful scenery, wildlife and a gorgeous waterfall at the trails end. I am not sure how I managed to be an Idaho native and not know this existed?!
Directions From Boise: take I-84 to Nampa--> take Highway 55 to Marsing-->about 1-1/2 miles past the Highway 95 intersection, turn left onto Cemetery Road-->travel about 1-1/2 miles to where Cemetery Road intersects South Jump Creek Road and turn left (south)-->head for the mouth of the canyon visible from a distance
