On May 17, 2015, from 4:30 p.m., the 16th Annual Best of Tahoe Chefs gets underway, courtesy of The Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation. There couldn’t be a better venue than the Ritz-Carlton. The price of this extravaganza is $175 per person. You know what to expect when Shipboard Evening Attire is requested! Ladies — gowns and cocktail dresses are the way to go. Gentlemen – you’ll want to wear your best suit, tux, or dress blues. Everyone will enjoy a gala evening of dining (of course), dancing, and more. Looking for a place to stay so you don’t have to motor back home? The hotel is offering a number of discounted rooms for $179 (plus taxes, fees, and parking).

The Best of Tahoe Chefs is one of The Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center’s two key fundraising events every year. Your evening out at the Chefs’ event will help benefit patients and their families by contributing to various programs held at the Center. It’s a wonderful organization. The Center has been called a “Model for Rural Cancer Care”, and it’s located right here in Truckee.
