I enjoy visiting the Lake Shrine (The Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine).

It is a breathtaking place to come to relax, regain focus, clear the mind, and lift the spirit. The lake and grounds are beautiful and serene. But I particularly love watching these two white swans swimming in harmony and peace...

It is really an amazing place:

This is one of those delightful little spots that most visitors of L.A. (and many Los Angelenos) never even visit. It's tucked away in a small ravine near the spot where Sunset Blvd meets the Pacific Ocean. It's easy to reach, but most people just don't know it's there.

Michael Thornton it has been 80+ for the last week. I think the coldest can be at night in 40ish. But those swans live there for years. Local monks and volunteers take care of the lake and gardens.

Inna, thanks for adding that picture in the comments!  There is just something about being around water as it is so relaxing and enjoyable.  It is nice that you have parks like this where you can get away from all that congestion, concrete, and asphalt.
