What does Spring Mean to me?  When I think of the Seasons of the Year.....I feel so lucky that we here have the privilege of experiencing 4 of them!  How lucky can we be? I love them all....But Spring?  There is nothing like Spring - Nothing that brings Hope to my Heart like the Days of Spring.  Just like Autumn is the Twilight of the Year....Spring to me is the  Dawning!

More then the January of a New Year........for me Spring is the Season of New Beginnings!  When I try to think of all that I love about Spring, I really can't help but remember Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music singing"These are a Few of My Favorite things!"

Rain drops on Roses or is it Roses in Raindrops..?

I think its Raindrops on Roses and WHISKERS on Kittens!

Its the soft velvety flicker of the Wings of a Butterfly and the heady 'take me away' perfume of a Lilac...

And its Walking in the Spring Rain with the One I Love...

These are a Few of My Favorite Things...:-)

And if you want some moments of nostalgia - come and revisit Lori Morgan singing "These are a Few of My Favorite things"...

Bo:  Thanks, Bo....I see i'm being deluged by messages - its for the Contest for Spring Inspiration - I love community plays - you'll have fun!

Chuck:  I'm not actually Chuck - It just dawned on me that not everyone uses music - perhaps just the people I subscribe to - so here I was thinking lots of people do!  Funny about perspective isn't it?  But thank you - :-)

Liz, great pictures!  My sweet little kittens grew up to be cats who chased butterflies!  I really enjoyed clicking on the music - I love this song, and spring!

Having been blessed with the chances to visit the wonderful place you call home, makes me homesick for the memories of blackberries the size of my thumb, for people that rust instead of tanning (whose skin is so much softer because of it), of flowers in a rock quarry where every glance gives another gasp of awe, where whales play and seals run and the otters crack shellfish on their bellies.  With those ideas getting me going, soon I hope to bring my family to visit one of God's playgrounds.  Thank you for stirring the memories.

Hey Wayne: I don't know about 'rusting' I'd prefer to call it blooming, lol.........but I appreciate your sentiment and words of wonder.  :-)

I also love this time of year, we are a little disappointed right now...We are on vacation at the Oregon coast and planned this camping trip 3 months ago knowing it would be around 65 - 70 everyday...But, thanks to global warming it is snowing and hailing...oh, what fun it is to play games in a yurt!

Todd:  Are you renting a yurt for real? lol.....I love the Oregon Coast - one of my favorite places in the world..........Cannon Beach!  Last year we spent 10 days there and in the vicinity!...But I love it in the winter, fall and spring too! The beach is so incredible I don't think it matters if its raining or snowing!  I'd trade places with  you right now!  :-)  I remember being their at a hotel right on the beach the day the Berlin Wall Fell.....hmmm well enjoy take lots of pics.....!  Make sure you see the Haystack!
