March Madness isn't just basketball - it is also events around Tucson that are "must do's" - and with so many to pick from - you can do one or all!
Here are the 5 Tucson spring events to put on your calendars:
Renaissance Festival - a long running event that started on February 7th and goes until March 29th. A chance to eat big drumsticks is how I see this event - with over 30 acres of 16th century atmosphere - there is a lot of fun here with croft shops, jousting tournaments, dancing, comedy shows, and more - there really is something for everyone!
4th Avenue Street Fair - starts next week March 20, 21 and 22nd in downtown Tucson. All I can say is - get an early, early start to navigate traffic and then to find a place to park. This event hosts over 400 arts and crafts booths, more than 35 food vendors, music, shows, and the most popular Free Kids hands on art activities! Fair runs from 10am until 6pm.
Cyclovia - the week of April 13th kicks of this downtown event - with the main cycling get together on April 19th from 10am until 3pm. A great day to spend with your family downtown and enjoy a supported 5 mile course riding bicycles.
Tucson Festival of Books - a huge event situated on the UA campus - this event is April 21 and 22nd and is filled with books, storybook performances, puppet shows, music, free resources and books and more!
Pima County Fair - runs from April 16th until the 26th and hosts thousands of people! Make sure to visit the Fair's website for special days such as Wristband Day promotions and also to find out where to buy advance tickets at a discount price!
