What can go wrong in our business? ... Ocean City, New Jersey
Almost anything. There are a thousand stories in the big city, or even the little town (when it comes to real estate). Working with a buyer, or a seller. A misunderstanding about almost anything. And on and on.
I came from a public school teaching role plus 17 years as high school principal. I clearly know what can go wrong in that particular business ... both a teacher as well as a principal.
Having said all of that, let me share the most difficult problem that I have ever had. There may have been more serious problems before (particularly in my high school principal days). But this is a technology issue ... unlike any other technology that I have had.
About 18 days ago in the morning I discovered that Yahoo was not directing email messages to my business account with them to my "dustin@beachnotes.net" email. Later I discovered that I could send out emails, but could not receive them.
I tried my best to contact Yahoo which was not possible by phone. After about ten days I determined that I was unable to solve the problem on my own. About that time on another morning I discovered that my Yahoo account had been removed along with all of my contacts with that account.
I then made a contact with a local technology problem solver to try to get my Yahoo account and contacts back. I am now in "a wait and see" mode.
Let me share a new address while I wait for my Yahoo one ... use "dustin@goldcoastsir.com" which is my business account with my real estate agency where I work.
Wish me well ... regardless, this will mean a follow-up (good or bad).
