A Hot Air Balloon sighting for Canyon Creek Elementary in RRISD
As I left the neighborhood one morning before spring break I saw a large Hot Air Balloon tethered in the Canyon Creek subdivision through the fog..…what a glorious sight! There were lots of kids surrounding this large red white and blue Hot Air Balloon just behind Canyon Creek Elementary in the drainage fields! A closer look and I realized students held a few smaller versions of the Hot Air Balloon Scott Felder Homes so graciously provided. A hot air balloon consists of a bag called the envelope that is capable of containing heated air. The heated air inside the envelope makes it buoyant since it has a lower density than the relatively cold air outside the envelope.
I’d say these Canyon Creek fifth grade students will remember their lesson.…this is my kind of teaching…..Practical applications in a fun learning environment! Kudos to the teaching staff for their creative teaching techniques!
