It is not what is in the world that determines the quality of our lives. It is how we choose to process the world in our thoughts that determines the quality of our lives. We are all given the ability to write our own story.
Great minds have known this forever... it's so easy to write about... it's so difficult to master... but it is so worth the effort...
The Dutch philosopher Spinoza said, “I saw that all things I feared, and which feared me, had nothing good or bad in terms save insofar as the mind was affected by them.”
Albert Ellis stated, “People and things do not upset us, rather we upset ourselves by believing that they can upset us.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson, "We become what we think about all day long.”
Shakespeare tells us, “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.“
Abraham Lincoln said, "People are about as happy as they make up their mind to be."
Norman Vincent Peale tells us “Change your thoughts and you change your world”.
And Jesus said, “As you think, so shall ye be."
Our lives are formed by the thoughts we hold most often. We literally become what we think about, and we are all given the gift of being able to write our own story.
