ChAnCe AnThOnY UeCkErT will be famous one day.

You are one in a bazillion. Clever. Smart-butty, but we will call it "witty" ;) Funny. Empathetic. Scientist! Athletic. FASTEST KID IN SCHOOL?! Whhaaaaa? Strong! Spider-man wall-scaling abilities! An underwear-over-the-tights costumer. That took courage, Comicon. Kind-hearted. Especially to the homeless and other special people who other people love to pretend are not there. Or worse. Baby-charmer. Rubik's cube solver! Artistic! Pet-petter. Engineering! Different girlfriend everyday. Grin. You like to follow the rules. But you will still cover for someone else who doesn't. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but you have to be the one to decide what's cool... You can be a Sk8rBoI, a boot-wearin'-pistol-toter, military special-forces-bound, an Aggie, a little dorky like Forest Gump or Steve Urkel or Sheldon. Then also mature and manly beyond your years like Harry Potter or Carl Grimes.

Put this eclectic recipe together and you have a perfectly cooked kid!

LOVE WHO YOU ARE JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! YOU ARE THE MOST AMAZING T E E N A G E R !

p.s. I trust you. How many moms can say that? I respect you. I expect you to break school records. I expect you to be humble when you do. And then I expect you to reach even higher next time.

Thank you that I am not the mom of a teenager begging for mercy as you turn thirteen today!

Kristen, what a wonderful tribute to your son and how many moms of 13 year olds can say that that their kids are trustworthy and follow the rules!

Sounds like Chance has a servant's heart to go with all that talent, and that is far more important and will take him farther in life and that is what truly matters!

Elite - thanks. I appreciate it. This week - all new challenges. Girlfriend. Adult issues that 13 year olds enter the arena and begin understanding. It's difficult and fun at the same time.

My son is 18 and my daughter is 12. So, one is almost done to be teen and I can tell you honestly, that those were not my favorite years.

Inna, it is HARD! But they are so adorable, too. This week was NJHS and a lot of 7th grade awards, so I am very pleased with his 13 year old year, so far!
