Don't Put All Your Eggs in an Online Basket
Today you hear a lot about advertising online. We all have heard an agent must have a great online presence. While I do agree with that and work to continually build my online presence, I am realizing more and more that I need to now compliment that strategy with a solid direct marketing campaign as well.
Learn From a Master
One of the best ways to shorten your learning curve is to identify a master and pick their brain. Identify A Medium
I've been dabbling in some newsletters to subdivisions but really want to now focus on post cards. I realize they are a lot easier to create and a homeowner can read your message in 30 seconds. Which let's face it, is all the time they want to give us anyways.
Identify An Target Group
Originally as I mentioned, I focused on a subdivision. I'm now wondering if I should leverage my MLS and target groups of focus that have the highest chance of selling in the next couple of years. I think I have an idea based off my local market and hope to see how that plays out. The key as they say is consistency.
Don't Forget the No-Brainers
Yes, this would be the folks we take listings for. I plan on doing the Just Listed Card, the Sale Pending Card and the Just Sold card. Let these neighbors know what is going on. After all, they are dying to know anyways!
Just Do It!
The most important step is to Just Do It! I've had this on my "to do list" and only dabbled. Now it is time to get the plan in motion. I'll try and share my journey this year and hopefully show others that you need both online and direct marketing strategies. Hopefully a few of you that try this in 2015 will share your successes and learnings so we all can grow our business.
I just know my 2015 Real Estate Marketing Plan will have both Online and Direct Marketing pieces to it. I hope Barbara continues to share and we all stay inspired to learn from her success with this balance.
My goal tomorrow is to have my first Just Listed Card designed and ready to go. It all starts with baby steps.
