March Madness is here! And its not the March Madness you're thinking of! Its not the upsets or the Cinderellas overcoming the odds and beating the big dogs! I am referring to the madness is that of the buyers coming out of the wood works to shop for houses and the sellers wanting to put their house on the market! My kind of madness!
Over the past couple months, we have started to see an increase in houses going under contract and an increase of prequalifications increasing nationwide! Pretty standard activity in the real estate industry, but also the most exciting! I love this time of year when people have made the decision to put their house on the market or shop for the home of their dreams!
While taking clients on house hunting missions, I have run into more people looking at the same homes. Some would view this as a bad thing because there is more competition, but I see it in a different light. I haven't had an issue yet of competing with other contract offers, but I see more buyers out on the trail, which means the market is alive and well! That makes me happy! Hopefully, the trends will continue and the madness will keep going!
