The weather may still be cold but the Mansfield real estate market was getting warmer in February. Average sales prices have increased compared to February 2014, while number of sales are even. Inventory of homes for sale remains low.
Here's a look at the total single family home sales for the month of February in Mansfield MA for the past five years. February 2015 saw the same number of sales as in 2014 and 2011, bu not as many sales as in 2012 and 2013. Buyers were still out looking in spite of the record setting snow. However, overall inventory has remained low, impacting overall sales.
Prices for single family homes in Mansfield during February 2015 were higher than all of the prior four years. Once again, the limited inventory has increased competition among buyers and driven up the prices.
What does this mean for the Mansfield MA Home Buyer? Inventory remains low, with only 20 single family homes listed for sale with MLS Property Information Network as of March 19, 2015. Buyers should expect stiff competition for homes coming on the market in Mansfield this spring.
