What do you think about when you know you will be listing a home?  There’s more than a commission at the end of that road.  With every listing, there will be, first and foremost, a piece of real estate to market, and with marketing, there follows more business.

Marketing is what will make the phone ring.  The listing will provide us with another place to plant a “for sale sign.”  Yes, another method of marketing. 

There will be “just listed” postcards mailed, and following that will be “sale pending” and “closed another one.”  That’s a sure way to find fresh inventory, and it all stemmed from an existing listing.

Showings will begin with an open house event on the first Sunday after listing.  We know that open house events are a magnet for new business and that includes buyer and seller business.

We will market online on websites and other real estate platforms.  We will prepare online marketing to complement every piece of offline marketing. 

This continues throughout the listing period.  Not only will buyers call, but other homeowners will call for a market analysis of their homes.  People like to do business with successful people. 

Perception becomes reality in real estate, and with every piece of marketing that hits the public, that perception becomes more powerful.  There is much to be gained that goes well beyond the commission, with each and every listing secured by an agent.

 

Listings beget listings without going beyond the traditional marketing that finds the right buyer.  New business will result with every piece of existing business, if you market it properly.  Listings are the stepping stone to future business.  It’s the niche that will be dominant in any type of marketplace with any market condition.  Listings are the name of the game.
