- What is it in your background that drew you to a career in real estate?
My parents developed a second home in the mountains and sold off and developed additional parcels. In 1988, my friends and I made our first real estate investments in SoCal. I bought my first lot in Malibu in 1990.
- What is the oddest request you have ever gotten from a client?
I’m going to leave that un-sung.
- What makes a “Bobby” transaction different from the competition?
We give outstanding service. We have experience and knowledge with support team second to none. We are accessible and in constant contact.
- Describe your own idea of a dream house.
Behind the Malibu Colony gates, ocean front, simple, with paddling distance to the point.
- What business attire would you choose when closing a major deal?
I would love to say suit and tie, but the reality is, jeans, sandals, and a pressed collared shirt (on a hot day, add shorts).
- When you celebrate a big deal, who goes with you, and what do you do?
My business partner Danielle and I go get a manicure, pedicure, and a few drinks. Then, home to the family to go out to dinner wherever they want.
- Describe your idea of a relaxing day off.
Breakfast with the family, off to the beach, and surfing good waves or skiing deep powder with my kids.
- If someone wanted to follow in your footsteps, what advice would you give?
Be loyal, constantly educate yourself, do what you say you’re going to do, and stick to it.
- In your opinion, what makes Malibu and the surrounding communities so sought after?
The weather, the mountains, the ocean, and the people are so relaxed.
- In your words, what makes the 4 Malibu Real Estate experience unique?
The Malibu history and knowledge of the people that work here, and the events at the Lounge.
