What a Mastermind Group Can Do for You!
I have been leading a Mastermind Group for the past 5 weeks. There are 10 other professionals in the group who meet weekly to share ideas, discuss challenges and stretch ourselves to reach new limits. I come away each and every week with an amazing, renewed energy.
If you have never been involved in a Mastermind Group, here are a few things that being associated with a group like this can do for you:
- Maintain and develop strong networking skills
- Share ideas and create new ideas or thoughts
- Increase collaboration skills
- Develop close, professional relationships
- Foster a sense of "team" and support for one another
- Bounce ideas off of one another in a "think-tank" environment
- Creates a wonderful "accountability" model for the group
Taking time to continually develop yourself personally and professionally takes time and commitment. Consider committing to a group in your area or perhaps develop a group yourself. My group was developed as a 12-week program. We meet each Thursday morning for one hour.
That one hour is structured to maximize our time efficiently and effectively. We begin and end on time in order to be respectful of everyone's time. It is truly amazing what we are able to cover in that 60 minutes and how energized we are at the end of the that time.
I have learned so much during this time and can't wait now to create my next group! Being trained as a John Maxwell Speaker, Trainer and Coach has prepared me with the tools and skills in order to lead my Mastermind groups.
