Leaving Las Vegas and Haven't Even Been Here 24 Hours

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

I'm hearing Sheryl Crow in my head and we aren't yet out of our hotel room, yet I can't help being excited about leaving Las Vegas. I've had my share of slot machines and woozy nights decades ago, and now I am thrilled to be going to Death Valley. More about that tomorrow . . . which involves Blackberry Brandy and Xanax.

We decided on a late dinner at Charlie Palmer's Aureolie at Mandalay Bay last night. Did you know this hotel has 21 restaurants, probably also counting those at Four Seasons. There is also an indoor beach and an aquarium filled with sharks. But we are leaving all of its over-the-topness and driving out into the desert today. Of course, we have housesitters at home. And my fingers are crossed that cellphone coverage stays intact.

You can read more in my personal blog today about Las Vegas is a Gateway to Death Valley from Sacramento.

I think I'd much more appreciate Death Valley than they Vegas over the top thing.

Used to love going to the casinos but not so much anymore.  I still play the lottery from time to time but that's about it.

Hi Elizabeth.  Age does change what is important and fun to us.

I have never been to Las Vegas!  I've been around it and near it, but never at it!  I need to fix that one of these days!

It was a bit over the top, Tamra. Las Vegas is like the 2015 answer to LSD but not as much fun.

James Dray I liked to play the penny slots in Lake Tahoe, LOL.

Conrad Allen I like to think that age makes us a bit wiser but I'm probably just deluding myself.
