Shoe Storage Solutions

Whether you’re a man or a woman, share your closet or have your own space, it seems like shoes are the primary contributors to an unorganized closet. If you’re anything like me, you also get tired of rummaging through a large pile of shoes trying to find a pair, so I’ve found a number of shoe storage solutions:

-----1) Install plaster moldings to hang your shoes on. I loved this idea on Shelterpop.com.

-----2) Clear plastic boxes that can stack together and on top of each other. Buy them all at the same time so they’re uniform and you have enough.

-----3) Underbed storage. There are many storage units that slide under the bed. You can use this type of storage for seasonal shoes or shoes that you don’t wear often.

----4) Over-the-door or hanging shoe storage. You can find either at Target.

-----5) You can also find a number of closet shoe organizers and racks here. I have tried the inexpensive plastic ones and have found they are generally not durable enough to hold the weight of my shoes. I’d recommend that if you choose to get a shoe rack, get a sturdy one.

*****Do you have any shoe storage solutions you’d like to share?

Hello Raoul, You are right, If I get up early I hate turning on the lights if my wife is sleeping so better to have a way of finding a pair.
