It was 78 Degrees Yesterday | Katy TX | Are You Tired of Winter Weather?
Yesterday afternoon I sat outside on our patio in Grand Lakes Katy TX writing Active Rain comments as it was absolutely gorgeous weather with no clouds in the sky and the temperature was 78 degrees. Our dog joined me outside as she likes to sun herself. Last night we sat outside for a couple of hours as it was still perfectly blue sky and cool temperatures. We grilled steaks and enjoyed sitting and talking with the waterfall running. We expect similar conditions today with maybe some clouds.
We had the national news on briefly late in the afternoon and once again the East Coast US was getting hammered with very cold temperatures. Old man winter just will not go away. We all feel sorry for all of our friends who live in these cold weather areas. If you are tired of dealing with snow, freezing rain, ice , constant winter storms and very cold temperatures call me and lets get started finding you a new home here in Texas.
We did have some cold days and nights this winter but it is all relative as cold for us is 30 degrees. Virtually every Saturday evening we grill food on our patio and we did not miss a Saturday grilling session due to the weather this past winter. We have had a lot of rain this spring but we are no longer in a drought situation. The trees are filled with leaves , grass is starting to get green and flowers are blooming. Interest rates are still at low levels but based on noise being made by the Federal Reserve these rates might start moving upward. You will not have to battle old man winter here like you have to when living in the Northern climates. Schools in Katy ISD are wonderful and your children and/or grand children will get an excellent education living here.
